Some guy I heard called me a bad engineer in school, could that be true?

I'm in engineering graduate school now. This kid from undergrad called me a bad engineer, as if I am not capable of doing anything, and has it ingrained in his head that I am worthless. That was mainly based on the fact that in a group project I did not model some part on the computer simulation, basically because there was a kid who really was fluid at the software, and I had a lot of finals and projects at the time, and would be crawling to be decent at it. Honestly I really do not think that kid who was complaining did a lot on the project anyways. I almost think now that maybe I am a bad engineer. Just to let you know I had the highest GPA by far from these students in my group. Regardless I just feel like I can't put all the engineering training together as good as a lot of my colleagues, maybe I need to work harder? I'm thinking I want to get a medical degree, but want to use my engineering training also.
