Could I lose weight from doing this?

I have recently got a new job. It is a very hardworking job at a country store. I have gone from sitting at home on the couch all the time to washing dishes, sweeping, cleaning, cash register, taking orders at the drive through window, making sandwiches and plate lunches (we cook a lot! I'm from the south and we make lots of plate lunches), running back and forth stocking the freezers and deli, etc... I am on my feet the whole entire time I work. I do not get a break and I do not get to sit down at all. I work around 25-30 hours a week. Since I went from doing absolutely nothing to working my butt off, could I possibly lose a little weight from this? I have been there for 2 weeks and my arms and legs get a little sore from sweeping, mixing large amounts of stuff, etc.. What do you think? I know its not exercise but could it help me? I also am not at home eating because I'm bored. I do not eat at all at work. Thanks!

I'm fifteen years old and I've been living with both my parents all my life. In the last couple of years my dad's behaviour is becoming unbearable. Ten years ago we were I could say sorta poor. I mean we had a house and my dad had a job but we JUST had the money to keep us alive. after sometime me and my family migrated to a different country my dad got a much better job and he was very well paid. His profession is a lawyer by the way and he built his way through it. He started from zero and now we can be considered of the upper-middle class. My mum doesn't work and my siblings are around my age. In the country where we live, we cannot work before 18 years and my mum doesn't have a degree so we are living on my dad basically. It might seem ungreatful but my dad is not making us happy. He is VERY short tempered and got even worse when he gained more money. He treats my mum like his personal maid (no exageration) she cooks his food, puts his socks on for him, does his hair and before we had a maid washed his clothes, took care of four kids and all he did was go to work. He is the type that doesn't even communicate with his family. He never sends us anywhere in vacation except to visit his family who HATE us including my mum. And yes he can afford it, his income is $300,000+ a year and still he says he doesn't have the money for it and whenever he does something useful with the money (other than showing off to his friends with it) like for example he rents us an amazing house, we only stay for like a year and degrade our standard because his brothers tell him what a waste of money it is to make your family happy. Me and my elder sister are highschool freshman which means university in 2 years. He still hasn't saved a penny for our education me and my sister are very hardworking and ambitious we are basically A* students and want to study medicine when we are older but we doubt our dad will bother saving up. By the way my mum keeps fighting with him because he is treating her like a servant rather than a wife and never takes her opinion in anything even though she is extremely faithful to him. She overheard him asking another woman out on a date once on the phone IN THEIR BEDROOM! and swore to leave the house but me and my sister convinced her to stay. Some guy I heard called me a bad engineer in school, could that be true?

I'm in engineering graduate school now. This kid from undergrad called me a bad engineer, as if I am not capable of doing anything, and has it ingrained in his head that I am worthless. That was mainly based on the fact that in a group project I did not model some part on the computer simulation, basically because there was a kid who really was fluid at the software, and I had a lot of finals and projects at the time, and would be crawling to be decent at it. Theres a few ways you can go about it. For your situation, simply ask her how she feels about you, and based upon her response, ask her what she wants in a relationship. That way you don't go in unknowing or you start over-analizing everything because you don't know what to do, what to expect or how to deal with something. I accidentally threw away my drivers permit?

I was taking segment two and i brought a separate folder so i could keep everything i needed together. Eventually that folder turned into my homework folder but i kept my permit in it so I could drive from school. occasionally i will get a torrent to work. But recently I tried downloading a torrent with 234 seeders and like 6 leechers (Just guessing) and it still wouldn't work. I've used a couple different programs like bittorrent, vuze, and transmission (I'm on an imac g5). On transmission, I will get an error after awhile saying it cant retrieve trackers. Your thoughts on teaching Abstinence or Safe Sex to teens? Which one?

There is a lot of recent thoughts about having kids abstain completely from sex until marriage. And no matter how noble a thought that is, is it really preparing teens for the future? I don't think kids should run out there and have sex but I do believe in providing the tools and knowledge they need to make that decision. My mom taught me about feelings I would have and what could happen should I have sex young. I in turn made my own decision not to have sex until I was at least out of school. So ingrained in me was my mom's voice telling me that when I do have sex with a guy I should prepare myself for being attached to him for at least 18 years should I get pregnant that I have had 5 sexual partners in my lifetime, and I'm 30 this year. How hard is a 300 yard swim?

I know lifeguards in their 50's and 60's so this really isn't that hard once you get your stamina up. There's no trick to not running out of breath easily. You just have to be swimming at *least* 500 yards every other day as fast as you can. That will build endurance. As odd as it sounds, you need more weight on you. That weight needs to be muscle though! So you need to swim a lot and use drills to help you build up your strength. For the brick you just use 1 arm sidestroke to bring it back.

Can I be Jewish and still believe in Jesus?

Don't drink. It's just silly to drink something you dislike just to fit in. Your co-workers will get used to you not drinking. I had a similar problem when I became vegan and I would go out with my new friends and they all ordered meat dishes and I sat there nibbling on my little salad. But I believed in my choice and principals and stuck with it. Now, however, they all know I don't eat meat and don't even think twice about it, it's just become normal to them too. If they're really such nice people they probably don't mind when you don't drink and if they do hound you then they aren't very tolerant. First off, I was born to be a wild, inhibited, outgoing carefree girl until at a very young age, my mother traumitized me and cause me to shut down. My father saw this extreme change in me. She suffered from schitzophrenic & irrationally paranoid mental illness that caused her to act irrationally and like a pshychotic demon around me when I was around 5 or younger. If you know anything about this, you would know that young child's personality can be completely changed when traumatic events plague them until they eventually shut down and turn into completely introverted, anxious shy person which causes them to have this as their new personality/way of behavior. This happened to me, and I finally figured out when I went to caounseling. All my life I wonderred why I could not be happy, outgoing and make friends like the other kids. I am now 19 and still plagued with horrible anxiety, despite countless other therapeutical techniqes. I was also on klonopin for 2 years which helped until I felt like I was ready to come off of it. After that, I still had horrible anxiety that lead me to become an alcoholic, a battle I am still fighting to overcome. I am a christian and have been asking God to rid me of my anxiety since I was in elementary school. Why won't he do it already? Have I not suffered enough?It's not fair because I have tried meditation and trying to renew myself to become a confident person, so many things, and the worst part is, I feel like I was robbed of my true self. The person I am now, is not the real me. I was supposed to be this wild, carefree confident person, that was supposed to be my natural self, it's not fair, I never had a chance to stop what happened to me. If you don't enjoy it, you will give up soon. If you are hungry before bed then try having a banana as it helps release serotonin which helps you sleep and improves your mood. I always get hungry at night and could never sleep on an empty stomach. Eating a big meal right before bed isn't a good idea because you will digest it but it might keep you awake. But a Banana or a bowl of sugar free or low sugar cereal is not a problem. Keep up the good work and remember that losing the weight slowly is the best way.

If you are 18 or older, it is time to move out. I went through similar b.s. with my younger siblings. I am the oldest too. I used to take everything valuable with me to work or keep the big stuff at a friends house. All I did was sleep there until I got a place w/ a friend when I was 19. I am so sorry for you. I know how much it hurts. Take all of your valuables that you bought out of there ( no matter whose room they are in) and find a place to store them like I did. If you didn't buy it, leave it there. How can I break this habit?

I have a terrible habit that I need to break. I start each day great - I work out, eat super healthy, have all these great plans, then at about 3pm I basically just give up. I start eating junk food, drinking beer and basically give myself permission to "start over tomorrow". I gorge on a bunch of junk and ruin everything. I can easily eat an extra 3000 calories in an afternoon/evening. This habit has become so ingrained that I don't even think about it half the time...it just happens.. I got an acceptance into University of Nottingham(needs over 80% to get accepted) which is a good one. But I didn't get a scholarship (it needs 90%). They love to put me down because of this. They tell me I'd be a total loser without their money. They tell me I'd be fishing and laboring in the village if it wasn't for them. They tell me I'd be equal to s*** if it weren't for them!!!!!!!! I don't know what is their problem!! Why do I need a scholarship if they can easily afford the college fee?? Its $15,000 per year which is my MOM's 2 month salary. I am not a bad guy. I left Italy in April 2010 and didn't think I'd return. Why is speaking so difficult for me?

Hey I'm a 16 year old male and the majority of the things you say I can relate to. When I was in elementary school, I took speech therapy that had to do with comprehension & my "brain to mouth function." They told me my brain was thinking faster then my mouth could move and it would sometimes "overwhelm" my mouth. Once I stopped taking therapy in middle school it came back and to this day the majority of the things you've mentioned happen to me. I'm not an expert, but from personal experience I would recommend that before you even say something, make sure your relaxed and know exactly what to say. I know we don't think about what we say but like for me, I'll start saying something and I just lose track of what I'm saying and might mumble. Try and to practice slowing you speech down and overtime you'll become acustom to thinking before you speak and making sure your relaxed enough inorder to avoid trying to get to many words out at once and either mispronounce words or not be able to get a word out. It sounds to me that all of what youve mentioned seems to effect you a lot more than it does to me. So it might not be a bad idea to look into getting some speech therapy, I know I will if my speech starts to really hinder me badly.

His body started to fail and his health deteriorated every day to the point where he finally died. Before the time of his death, Chlomo became sick and lost all his strength, "He grew weaker day by day…his face the colour of dead leaves". Both changes take place as a direct result of Chlomo's imprisonment , and his experiences give us a realistic view of the impact and horror of WAR.

We have all been there and employers know you have to start somewhere. K-Mart, Walmart, McDonald etc all hire college students to work part time in the summer. They expect you to be somewhat smarter than their average customer, know enough to show up on time and ready to work and not try to tell anybody how they should be running the store. The pay will be crappy, the hours will be worse and most of your fellow workers will be from the shallow end of the gene pool but they have something you don't have, work experience. Luck!

Why does my Team Fortress 2 keep saying 'retrieving server information' when I click 'start playing'?

I installed TF2 and after 7 hours of installing everything seemed to be working perfectly but the online play. I clicked 'start playing' and it just says 'retrieving server information please wait.' So I waited about a half an hour and it still said it. So I uninstalled and reinstalled it, which took another 7 hours, and it says the same thing. I've tried restarting my steam, reinstalling the game, restarting my computer, and also restarting my router but nothing seems to change or help. Any ideas on why this is happening or what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

I'm a nice guy that doesn't go out of my way to bother people. I'm not shy though, sometimes i'm a bit loud and boisterous. I'll be the first person to tell someone what I think, or help someone out when they need it. But sometimes, I wind up in crappy situations, where someone wants to pick a fight with me. I always ignore it or back down, mostly out of fear of going to jail. I can count probably 3 times within the year where I could've drug out with someone but didn't. I know that it's always better to avoid fights unless someone tries to hurt you, but it's kinda ingrained in guys to respond when your called out. I'm a scary looking guy, and some people think i'm crazy. But I don't look for trouble, and fighting always makes me nervous, as it should because it's messy and dangerous. Just to relieve some of the guilt and feeling of cowardice though, I feel like slugging the next person who calls me out, consequences be dammed. What do you guys think?

But according to how you have defined both manliness and intelligence, I too would have to go with manliness - if it represents productivity, common sense, trust, helping your neighbors, and a sense of right and wrong. But I also think these traits require a degree of intelligence too. So I haven't really answered your question, have I. LOL.

If I'm wrong about that I can only tell u to not to get into any arguments with him and more or less, ignore his ways for a while until he makes the first move wanting to have an honest conversation with u about problems. You both could use some professional help to find ur ways back together. I totally understand what ur saying in how ur feeling after loosing ur job etc......myself went through similar feelings and some much worse after I closed my business for retirement, had to due to health issues but still, it was tough to fell needed, usefull and other weird feelings including fighting the depression and wanting to end it. I liked the first one the most. Most action, and to me the most emotion. The other two weren't as good as the first, but it actually surprised as how it all ended. Katniss with Peeta? How to increase your sight reading ability?

Hey, so I've played piano for about 5 years now, I can sight read violin (played for 8 years) like a beast, and can sight-read tenor part like a beast. Haha, not bragging... just saying I've got that down. Anywho, in piano, I feel like I've gotten rather good at emotion and all that jazz, but I feel like the only thing holding me back is my sight reading in piano! Putting both of the clefs together! It takes me a while to learn a piece, and most of the time I just memorize the part and practice it over and over till it's ingrained in the early stages. I would like to be able to just play through music! My teacher said you just have to literally do that--just run through music. Can anyone add to this? Any techniques or methods that have worked for them? Thanks!

Why is everyone negative?

I have noticed that most people like to mostly add negative comments to a conversation. For example - "Do you know what I hate...", or "This line is taking so long" or "I'm so tired of that". Why can't people say "I wouldn't prefer that" or "this line is long, but I'm happy to be getting this done and they are probably just backed up". Why do we feel so entitled? Americans are twice as rich as they were in the 70's and they rank no happier b/c of it, Japan is 6 times as rich as in the 50's and they are not any happier either. If you own a car you are richer than 84% of the world's population. We live in the U.S. and even the poor are so much richer than everyone else, but still I hear how bad things are nowadays or "where this country is headed". Studies prove most of the time rich successful people are no happier than the average person, you choose to be happy. I am trying to reduce negativity from my life, but 98% of people are just ingrained in a this could be better mindset. Why does so much of our thought revolve around negativity instead or positivity and great-fullness?
